Thyroid (not hemorrhoid)

David was playing paintball about a year ago and got hit in the throat... ever since then he has had a nodule on his neck. Well he went to the urgent care for some jaw pain and the throat issue came up... the doc was very concerned so immediate action has been taken. thyroid testing, ultra sound to determine size (it is about 5cmx5cm- which is huge when talking about a thyroid mass) surgical consults and thyroid specialists. Blood work came back normal but the mass is so big the doctor just wants to remove it. So he is most likely looking at surgury in the next 6 mo or so. Heres a quick picture of the mass- it is the lower left side of his neck. Our life never ceases to be exciting.
