Easter Sunday

When my mom came up to visit on their spring break she bought the girls some dresses. They were able to wear them for the first time on Easter Sunday. They really loved wearing them.

Bethany worked on Sunday and so I had the girls to myself. The people who we were sitting by us at church had a water bottle for their kids. Taylar saw that and was suddenly thirsty. She wanted a drink of water so I told her to go by herself. She said, "But someone will steal me." I told her to have Jordynn go with her and for some reason that was good enough. I told them to be reverent and they both folded their arms and walked out of the chapel. As I watched them walk away everyone was looking at them and then at me giving me the "oh, how cute" look. A couple minuets later I hear thundering running footsteps as the girls were running from the hallway to where I was sitting. All of those "oh, how cute" faces seemed to disappear with either a disapproving frown or a huge smile. I thought that it was hilarious but I had to keep a straight face to tell them that they needed to be reverent both ways.

Isn't it hard to keep that straight face when kids do something naughty, but hilarious. Lately Dallin has been talking more, but can't (or chooses not to) make the "tr" sound. He likes "f"! He likes trucks too . . . our laughing doesn't help him learn the right way to say it!

The girls are so cute. How much longer before the new baby arrives? I' ve lost track of time! I can remember a time one of my kids was misbehaving in Sac. mtg and as Reed took them out they screamed at the top of their lungs: "Don't spank me Daddy"!

They were reverent on the way out because they could remember your counsel. On the way back, they had already forgotten your counsel; hence the rapid, race back to daddy. Love you guys,te girls look great in their Easter dresses.
